The simple solution for Google Consent Mode V2
Without Consent Mode V2, Google Ads and GA4 lose your EU visitors: remarketing audiences stop filling and conversions vanish from your reports. FewCookies sends all four consent signals automatically — paste one line of code and you are aligned.
What is Google Consent Mode V2?
Consent Mode is the framework through which your website tells Google tags (Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Floodlight) whether a visitor consented to cookies and data use. Version 2 adds two new signals — ad_user_data and ad_personalization — and has been required in the European Economic Area since March 2024, driven by the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
In practice: if your cookie banner does not send these signals, Google stops building remarketing audiences and measuring conversions for EU traffic — even when visitors click “Accept”.
The four consent signals
ad_storageAllows advertising cookies, such as Google Ads click identifiers.
analytics_storageAllows analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics 4 measurement.
ad_user_dataNew in V2 — consent to send user data to Google for advertising purposes.
ad_personalizationNew in V2 — consent to personalized advertising and remarketing.

Google Ads remarketing keeps working
Without the ad_personalization signal, remarketing lists stop filling with EEA visitors and your campaigns slowly lose their audiences.
Conversions stay measurable
With Consent Mode, GA4 and Google Ads model the conversions of visitors who decline — you keep a realistic picture instead of a data blackout.
GDPR + DMA compliance
Consent is collected before any non-essential cookie is set, the way the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and the DMA require.
Visitor privacy, respected
Visitors get real control over their data: nothing is stored until they choose, and every choice is logged as proof of consent.
